On Saturday, the 14th of March, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Lesotho proudly joined Basotho in celebrating Moshoeshoe’s Day in Chicago. The event was graced by Princess Maseiso and brought together Basotho living across the United States, along with our neighbors and friends from Botswana, Uganda, and South Africa.
The celebration was a vibrant display of unity, culture, and national pride, reflecting the enduring legacy of our founder, King Moshoeshoe I.
In addition to the festivities, the Embassy also provided essential consular services to Basotho in the diaspora. These included assisting citizens with passport renewals, national identity document applications, and birth registration services. This initiative ensured that Basotho abroad continue to have access to vital government services while staying connected to home.
The Embassy extends its sincere appreciation to all who attended and contributed to the success of this event.
