Biography of The Ambassador
Prior to the current appointment, Mr. Mosotho served as the Government of Lesotho’s Chief Delegate in the Lesotho Highlands Water Commission, a bi-national body established under a Treaty between the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of South Africa that is responsible and accountable for the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.
He joined the LHWP as a Delegate in 2018, and assumed the position of Chief Delegate in 2021. During his tenure in the LHWC, Mr. Mosotho developed a keen interests in the livelihoods and welfare of communities affected the implementation of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.
Before joining the LHWC, Mr. Mosotho had a remarkable and distinguished career as an attorney in private practice. His main focus areas were: personal injury claims, constitutional law and human rights. In 2013-14 he had a short break from private practice and served as Senior Private Secretary to the then Prime Minister of Lesotho. Mr. Mosotho holds a B.A. Law and LLB degrees, both from the National University of Lesotho. He is married with three children.
